Every service provider at B. Monroe works on a level system designed with both growth and choice in mind. Levels reflect the demand for a stylist’s time and create a clear path for career advancement within our team. For guests, it means you have options—different levels to match your preferences, your schedule, and your budget. You get the experience that feels right for you. Listed starting prices are for a level 1 stylist.
Choosing the right extension method is just as important as the hair itself. The options below reflect the methods we trust and offer, with each one serving a different need, lifestyle, and hair type.
Tape-In Extensions
Tape-in extensions use medical-grade adhesive to secure lightweight extension pieces to your natural hair. Each section is created by sandwiching a small amount of your hair between two tape tabs, repeated throughout the head for balanced, seamless results.
This method works well for adding length, fullness, or both. The number of wefts used is customized based on your hair density and desired outcome. Tape-ins lay flat against the head and are known for their natural feel and versatility.
Sew-In Extensions
Sew-in extensions are installed by creating a beaded row with your natural hair, then sewing extension wefts into place with a needle and thread. This method offers two weft options: hand-tied and machine-tied.
Hand-tied wefts are ideal for guests with finer hair or those who want extensions to sit as flat and discreetly as possible. Machine-tied wefts are better suited for thicker hair or guests primarily looking to add length, and they offer a slightly more economical option.
Sew-in extensions are a great choice for adding volume and length while minimizing tension on the scalp. They work well for a wide range of hair types and goals and are designed to remain invisible, whether your hair is worn up or down. Maintenance appointments every 6–8 weeks are essential to support healthy hair and scalp as your natural hair grows.
Halo Extensions
Halo extensions are a non-permanent option designed for comfort, flexibility, and ease. They can be installed in seconds, worn all day, and removed just as easily—making them a great choice for anyone who wants added length or volume without the commitment of a permanent method.
Halos can be worn daily or saved for special occasions and are color-matched, styled, and cared for just like natural hair. Longevity depends on frequency of use and proper care, but most Halos last between nine months and a year.
Your Extension Experience
Longevity & Maintenance
The lifespan of your extensions depends on the method selected and how they’re cared for between appointments. Most methods require a move-up every 6–8 weeks. With proper maintenance, the extension hair itself can last eight months to a year.
Caring for Your Hair
Healthy results rely on consistent care, including gentle detangling, regular cleansing, and proper hydration for both your hair and scalp. Staying on schedule with maintenance appointments helps prevent unnecessary tension and protects your natural hair as it grows.
Consultations & Pricing
Extension pricing varies based on method, hair type, length, density, and your individual goals. For this reason, a consultation is required. During your visit, one of our extension specialists will discuss your goals, assess the health and color of your natural hair, and recommend the best options for you. A personalized quote is provided at that time.
Halo Extensions
Halo extensions are the exception and are available through any of our stylists. During your consultation, you’ll be able to try on different lengths and find your best color match.
